Sarah believes that everyone who is willing and able to work should be able to work—and with a livable wage and time off when they need it. Sarah will push for comprehensive employment legislation reform that includes a federal job guarantee, elevates the minimum wage to at least $15 per hour, paid sick and family leave, and equal pay for equal work. She will fight to end employment discrimination based on race, religion, gender, gender-identity, sexual orientation, disability, criminal history, or immigration status. She will work to ensure that teachers are adequately paid and never have to pay out-of-pocket for school supplies. She will also be a champion for Davis-Bacon, and protect the right to unionize and collectively bargain.Sarah will prioritize closing the massive wealth gap and ending income inequality, and use every means necessary to ensure that no American has to work more than one job to keep a roof over their head and put food on their table.
