Sarah believes that health care should be a basic right. Medicare must be an option for all, but also pay for all—mental health and substance abuse treatment, vision and dental care, and long-term community care—without disruptive regulatory burdens and prior authorizations. Sarah will for push for inclusive Medicare and legislation that dramatically reduces the cost of prescription medications. She will work to stop government interference with the practice of medicine so that doctors can focus on treating patients. Sarah believes that every health care decision must be premised on medical judgment and patient care—not advancing partisan interests. The only role that the government should play in health care is paying for it.
